Event Overview

Saturday, June 21

Morning: Juneteenth March & Parade
Location: Downtown Pittsburgh
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Join BBTN as we march in the Juneteenth Parade, showcasing the art of baton twirling and celebrating freedom, community, and unity through performance. 

Afternoon: BBTN Showcase & Showdown
Location: Mellon Spray Park
Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

The Showcase & Showdown is the highlight of the Juneteenth Celebration, a high-energy individual competition where twirlers from across the country bring their best to the stage.

How It Works:

• This is an individual performance competition open to twirlers of all levels.

• Each competitor will prepare a 1-minute routine set to music of their choice.

• Routines should highlight creativity, technique, musicality, and crowd appeal.

• A panel of judges will select the Top 6 Finalists to advance to the Showdown Round.

The Showdown:

Finalists will perform again in a freestyle round—but this time, everyone will twirl to the same surprise song.
It’s all about adaptability, stage presence, and raw performance power as they battle it out head-to-head for the title.

The BBTN Showcase Showdown Champion will be awarded!

Special Awards

We’ll also recognize standout twirlers with the following special awards:

• Best in Showmanship – For the twirler with unmatched stage presence and flair

• Musicality Master – For the best interpretation of music through timing, creativity, and control

• Showdown Showstopper – For the twirler who commanded the Showdown Round with boldness and skill
  
  
  

Every twirler brings something powerful to the stage, and these awards ensure that multiple forms of excellence are celebrated.

Pricing

Twirling Parade Participant: For twirlers and majorettes actively participating in the parade lineup with a baton or equipment. Includes field placement and performance coordination. This does not include your participant's top attire. You will purchase that separately from the link above.

Showcase Competition Participant: For individuals competing in the BBTN Showcase & Showdown. Includes solo routine competition entry and eligibility for the Showdown Round. This does not include your participant's top attire, which is the same for the parade. You will purchase that separately from the link above

Combo Ticket: Parade + Showcase: For twirlers participating in both the Parade and the Showcase & Showdown. Includes full access to both events.
